MT PLEASANT, MICH., MAY 26, 2005 – Just what does the ideal learning space for children look like? Visitors to the new Sylvan Learning Center in Mount Pleasant will get a glimpse, thanks to Interphase, the exclusive Haworth dealer in Northern and Western Michigan. Interphase announced today the company was selected to design the interiors and provide office furniture for the new location.

The Mount Pleasant Sylvan Learning Center is located at 2475 S. Isabella Road. Like other Sylvan centers, it will deliver personalized instruction to children of all ages.

The Center is 3,000 square feet and is composed of open teaching spaces, as well as with a reception area, training room, and offices. In addition to interior design services, Interphase also provided workstations, seating, and flooring.

"Designing spaces where children learn are often the most rewarding," said Adrienne Rasmussen, branch manager for the Traverse City Interphase office. "This space is modern, flexible, and efficient – everything a learning environment should be. We are delighted to have been selected."

Interphase also designed and provided furniture and Haworth LifeSPACE moveable walls for the Cadillac Sylvan Learning Center. "We have been extremely pleased with the design and implementation from Interphase with both our Cadillac and Mt. Pleasant Sylvan Learning Centers." said Dr. Charles R. Bacon, owner and executive director. "We plan to use them for a new center opening in Marquette this fall."

A centerpiece of the floor plan, the LifeSPACE wall system is fully modular and incorporates all voice, data and electrical cabling. The system is also environmentally sound (more than 98 percent reusable) and helps reduce noise and improve privacy during classes. Most importantly, LifeSPACE walls are completely movable, allowing teachers to adapt room settings based on individual class needs.
