NEW WEST OTTAWA HIGH SCHOOL FURNITURE INSTALLATION Selection based on value, product flexibility and LEED-accreditation GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., APRIL 19, 2005 – Interphase, the exclusive Haworth dealer in Western Michigan, recently announced it has won the installation of all workstations, seating and student tables for the new West Ottawa High School building. Interphase was selected based on the value and flexibility of Haworth products. In addition to the Haworth product line, Interphase owner Randy DeBoer brings experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation. LEED-certified buildings protect the environment, promote good health of the people who use the building and cost less to operate. The school intends to seek LEED certification for the school from the U.S. Green Building Council. "Throughout the design process, the district strived to create an optimal learning setting in an environmentally friendly manner," said DeBoer. "As the only Michigan furniture dealer led by a LEED Accredited Professional, Interphase shares the progressive goals of West Ottawa High School and is honored to be selected to participate in such a high-performance project." Design features within the building focus on improving the comfort and reducing distractions for occupants. "The school we're creating will provide a better environment for teachers to teach and for students to learn," said West Ottawa Assistant Superintendent Dave Zimmer. "That's what's making this process very exciting." Installation for the 310,000-square-foot structure will begin May 2005. The new school, located off Butternut Drive in Holland, is slated to open August 2005.
