Christ Memorial Church: A Higher Purpose

Every once in a while, that dream project comes along, one where your work makes both a visual and a practical impact far beyond what you expected.

Despite being focused only on the physical space at Christ Memorial Church – among West Michigan’s largest churches – Interphase was able to help make a difference on far-reaching aspects of the facility. Christ Memorial had outgrown its facility, and needed to add space to accommodate its burgeoning congregation and office staff.

Working with Haworth and the Church’s leadership, Interphase:

• Created dramatic, open, yet inviting spaces in several common areas, including the rotunda, chapel, community hall and children’s area

• Ensured maximum flexibility for future change and growth within the administrative offices by utilizing LifeSPACE moveable walls

• Incorporated several different yet integrated Haworth products throughout such varied spaces as a food court, private office, chapel, and lounge area

• Adhered to the physical limitations of the space while still achieving improved productivity and appearance in the office areas

The end result is a completed project that qualifies as dramatic – both on paper and in person.
